This delicious fruit platter is easy to make and customizable to your preferences. You can use any type of fruit for the turkey feathers – the more colorful the better!

You can put this fruit platter out in the morning to snack on throughout the day, before the big meal as an appetizer, or at the end of the meal for a lighter dessert option. It’s also a perfect centerpiece for the kid’s table, and it’s a great way to get your kids to eat more fruit!

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Serves: 8 servings

Ingredients You’ll Need:

  • 2 Bananas
  • 1 package of strawberries
  • 1 Pear
  • 1 package of grapes
  • 2 small blueberries
  • Slice of cheese
  • Half bag of pretzel snaps

Directions:

Step 1: Before starting, make sure all of your fruit is ready to be prepped.

Step 2: Now it’s time to prep the fruit. Peel the banana and slice into circles. Set aside on another plate. Lightly spray apple juice on banana slices to keep from browning. If you decide to use apples for your turkey-shaped fruit platter, be sure to also give them a quick spray of apple juice.

Step 3: For the strawberries, remove leafy green stems and slice in half, set aside.

Step 4: Slice your pear in half.

Step 5: This is the fun part – designing your turkey! Start with the pear as this will be the turkey’s body. To make the eyes, first cut a toothpick into 1/4th-inch pieces and place into the pear where the eyes will be. Stick the two small blueberries into the toothpicks to secure.

Step 6: To make the turkey’s beak, use a small slice of cheese and cut into a triangle.

Step 7: For the turkey’s legs, use a thin slice of cheese and make small cuts at the bottom to create the feet.

Step 8: To create the turkey’s feathers, start placing the strawberries around the body. Continue making a pattern with your cut fruit for the turkey’s feathers using bananas and grapes.

Step 9: Create the ground by staggering pretzel snaps.
