Grab your blender for this delicious dessert! Liz Stanley, founder of Say Yes, an award-winning lifestyle blog, presents a truly scrumptious and simple healthy “ice cream” dessert. Healthy foods are so important to kids’ growing mind and bodies, especially during back to school season.

“#MyNewGoal for the new school year is to make after-school snacks more nutritious by sneaking in some veggies, so my kids are eating wholesome foods throughout the day (I promise, they won’t even know there are veggies inside). My favorite way to do it is with this cheater peanut butter chocolate banana ‘ice cream’ recipe.”

Healthy Peanut Butter Chocolate Banana “Ice Cream”

3 frozen bananas (cut into pieces)

1 T of peanut butter (or almond butter)

1 T of honey

1 T of cocoa powder

3/4 cup of milk

1 large handful of fresh spinach leaves (as much as you can cram in)

Simply blend all ingredients, pour into a tupperware, and stick in the freezer for a couple hours. Scoop it out just like ice cream for a healthy after school snack. If you’re feeling real special, drop a couple chocolate chips, fresh berries, toasted coconut, or sprinkles on top!
